Killer psychedelic sludge doom, goes from spacey psychedelic interludes to heavy post-metal. Under appreciated band who you should pay more attention to :)

Epic slow-burner first track, crushing second, and beautiful third. Another great release.

"It's time someone paid MAKE some notice, because they are moving towards big things. This 3-song EP, a rich blend of atmospheric post-metal/rock and aggressive sludge, further enriches the colossal soundscapes constructed by their debut, Trephine, and sounds positively gigantic, from the truly epic build-up of the 17-minute opener to the haunting piano-led deconstruction of the last few minutes. The unusually ascetic imagery of the record is but the final touch of class on a highly recommended release." - Jose Carlos Santos, Rock A Rolla Magazine

An unbelievable mixture of stoner and heavy psych sounds and influences, also with plenty of long jam sessions to balance out with the amazing vocals. Ever since hearing this album I have been at a loss for words for describing what makes Elder such a great band to people who don't yet know them. The production on this record is also very, very crisp ellis_boyd_redding
